Pitch improvements at Kings Lane

As the new season is getting closer there are a number of changes being made at Kings Lane to improve the pitches.

Firstly we’ve taken the opportunity to reconfigure the layout of the pitches to place the most-used pitch sizes on the best areas of the field. We hope this will improve the playing conditions on all the pitches, especially for our older teams.

Secondly, we’ve replaced all of the 11-a-side and 9-a-side goals. A huge thank you to one of our coaches Matt Hayes and his company CLM Services Ltd for supporting us with the materials needed for this, in addition to volunteering hours of his own time to help fit the new goalposts on the pitches. Also, we are very grateful to one of our club sponsors MKM Building Supplies who generously supplied materials free of charge.

Also thank you to all the other coaches and committee members who volunteered their time to help make these improvements happen despite the rain and mosquitoes in the last couple of weeks! We hope the new pitch configuration will provide better playing conditions for our teams for years to come.
